Jamie Lord, PE, IAAI-CFI

Instructor
Jamie is a Principle Forensic Engineer at Reax Engineering.  He began his career 30 years ago as a fire fighter before earning degrees in Mechanical and Fire Protection Engineering.  After completing his degrees he worked in the design industry in New York City and Washington DC, before transitioning to forensic fire work.  He specializes in fire dynamics, failure analysis of fire detection and alarm systems and suppression systems, fire and materials research and computer fire modeling.  

After becoming involved in forensics, Jamie spent 10 years investigating fires and explosions, performing forensic engineering analyses and serving as an expert witness for the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).  He participated in hundreds of investigations from small residential fires to large industrial scenes.  Jamie assisted the National Response team with investigations during his time at ATF.

Jamie has now spent the last ten years working as a forensic fire engineer in the private sector.  In addition, he has spent over a decade as an adjunct instructor at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches graduate course in fire dynamics, computer fire modeling and forensic examination of fire protection systems.

M. Dixon Robin, IAAI-CFI

Dixon is the operator of Fire Sequence Investigations, a private fire and explosion investigation firm part of the ProFire Network. Dixon retired in 2021 as a Supervisory Special Agent/CFI with ATF. As an ATF National Response Team (NRT) Supervisor, Dixon lead a veteran team of Special Agent/CFIs and subject matter experts in investigating large fire, bombing, and explosion events throughout the country.

Dixon was employed in Federal law enforcement for over 26 years, the bulk of that career being spent at ATF as a Special Agent/Certified Fire Investigator in Rochester, NY. In addition to working with ATF’s NRT, Dixon worked daily with the Rochester Arson Task Force.
Dixon is an IAAI Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) and Certified Instructor (CI) and has instructed courses internationally at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA), the National Fire Academy (NFA), the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), and at a variety of venues throughout the United States.

Dixon is also one of the founders of CaseChrono, an app designed to provide fire investigators and other professionals an AI-assisted timeline analysis tool.

Dr. John Golder, IAAI-CFI

Instructor
John is the owner of Golder Forensic Group LLC, a private fire and explosion investigation firm based out of Wilmington, NC. John retired in 2017 as a Supervisory Special Agent/CFI with ATF. As an ATF National Response Team (NRT) and International Response Team (IRT) Supervisor, John led a veteran team of Special Agent/CFIs, Explosive Specialist, and subject matter experts in investigating large fire, bombing, and explosion events throughout the world.

John was employed by ATF for over 25 years as a Special Agent, with the majority of that time as a Special Agent/Certified Fire Investigator and Certified Explosives Specialist. Prior
to becoming the NRT Supervisor, John was responsible for the training and certification of ATF’s Certified Fire Investigators.

John is an IAAI Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) and has instructed courses internationally at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA), the National Fire Academy (NFA), the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), and at a variety of venues throughout
the world.

John is a certified firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Master’s Degrees in Forensic Science and Teaching, and a Ph.D. in Forensic Sciences
